Following the Supreme Court’s directions on strengthening implementation of the PoSH Act (including in Aureliano Fernandes v State of Goa and XYZ v Union of India), States are now operationalising enforcement.
Every organisation with 10 or more employees must:
constitute an Internal Committee under the PoSH Act
register the Internal Committee on the SHe-Box portal
This applies to all establishments - companies, partnerships, shops, government offices, hospitals, hotels, malls, manufacturing units, retail establishments, NBFCs, IT companies, schools, NGOs etc. Non-compliance can be penalised.

STEP 1: Visit the portal
Select Private Head Office Registration.

Common Questions
Is SHe-Box only for government or PSUs?
No. It is mandatory for private establishments too.
Do we have to register branch offices separately?
You register the Head Office first. Then each workplace location must be added under “Add Workplace”.
Is one IC enough?
For one location → one IC.For multiple offices in different states/districts → multiple ICs may be required.
Can we wait?
No. The direction applies immediately. The PoSH Act already mandates IC constitution. SHe-Box is the additional compliance layer.
